We are a male female team of photographers specialising in wedding photography. We are based in Blaenau Ffestiniog, North Wales. We provide a discreet, creative and thoughtful approach, keeping things simple and relaxed, we capture real events as they happen throughout the day, resulting in a collection of beautiful, vivid photographs, ensuring you relive the happy memories of your day every time you view them. We believe that each wedding is unique, and realise how much of a privilege it is to be asked to photograph what is probably, the most important day of your life. We will photograph whatever you want on your big day, trying to be as efficient and helpful as we can.

Children and Family Portraits
Alwyn and Helen Photography has a style that is fresh, natural and fun. We know that family life is informal, chaotic and full of wonderful imperfections and we take images which reflect that. Photos of kids should be bursting with energy in the same way they are and family portraits should be full of laughter not fixed grins.
Event Photography
We are available for photographing events for all occasions including birthday parties, engagement parties and prom nights. With our mobile studio we can provide you with proffesional studio shots whilst you celebrate and with onsite printing available you can purchase your prints on the same night!
Baby Portraits
Is there anything more beautiful than a baby? Here at Alwyn and Helen Photography we don't think so. There is something so joyful about baby photography and the look you get on a small tots face when they are held against mums shoulder is just photographic heaven. When you ring to book your session we will plan with you to find a time when they have had a feed and a nap. We can work quickly so the little one won't get worn out and we are also very patient and are willing to wait to get the photo's you want, even if this means a return visit.
Bump and Baby Portrait
An opportunity to capture this special time with two photoshoots. We will take one set of photographs of you and your bump and even your partner too if the would like. We can even take a set of images each month up to the birth of your new baby to create your own timeline of your bump! We will then return after the birth of your new child at your request to take a second photoshoot. You will then have a beautiful set of bump and baby, ideal for your baby book.
Couples Portrait
Every couple has a unique and special bond which binds them together. Every couple has a special story behind their romance. Every couple deserves to celebrate their love and commitment in a special way that signifies their love. What better way to express how you feel about each other and tell your love story than through a personalised photographic portrait?
Pet Portraits
If you've been contemplating professional animal portraits of your dog, cat or other animal why not treat him or her to the special portrait session a loved one deserves? We understand that our pets are as individual as we are, and will work with you to create exactly the right kind of portrait that will fit your pet's unique personality perfectly. Dogs, puppies, cats, kittens, budgies, rabbits, lizards, snakes, horses, fish... whatever your pet or animal, we'll capture the right images for you. In a nation of animal lovers, it is increasingly common for pet owners to value beautiful high quality professional portraits of the pets they love. These images will stay with you for years to come, as a permanent reminder of your pet as he or she is today.
Friends Portraits
A fantastic way to celebrate your friendship. Why not get everyone together, throw on some glam clothes and pull some smile for the camera. The photoshoot will be an excuse for everyone to get together and have some fun and will provide you with many happy memories to take home with you.
What to wear
A few points to bear in mind when choosing what you are going to wear. Strong colours work well - blues, whites, reds, oranges and pinks are all good. Pastel colours including duck egg blue and mint green are also great to photograph. Lots of different patterns can be overwhelming, particularly in group shots. Branded clothes do tend to date a photograph and can look busy. Individuals can wear pretty much what they like; it's up to you but please bear in mind my advice about colour. If you're a family group consider what you look like together. You may all want to wear similar colours or styles, khaki trousers and a white tee shirt for example or each wear a denim item to give a cohesive look.
Events
We also have a passion for event photography and offer a service for Christenings, School Proms, or Party's, anywhere you need a photographer, we can provide that service. We can take formal portraits, or mingle discreetly with the guests taking informal, natural photo's, or a mixture of both. Again we can provide a web album, where your guests can view the images, and buy a print, or we may be able to provide a on site printing service, your guests can then receive prints on the night.
